You probably know the formula for photosynthesis. It says plants take CO2 and water and make sugar and release oyxgen. OK, So in chemical terms, for each mole of sugar produced, six moles of oxygen are released. That means for every 180 grams of sugar produced and built into the plant's structure, there will be 192 grams of oxygen released.

So, to very roughly find out how much oxygen a plant releases, measure the increase in its weight. Obviously this would owrk best if you had a rapidly growing plant and you let it grow for a few weeks at least!
