is there anywhere to look to see how long a certain breed of dog lives? my dogs not a common breed and i want to find out somehow.

About 15 years if your pointer is healthy and well cared for. Preventative veterinary care at least once a year is the best way to ensure a full life span.

My German Shepard/Collie mix lived for 22 years and my Grandmothers German Shepard lived 17 years. So I guess it depends. But the link below gives an estimate for different breeds. Check it out!

Small dogs live longer than large breed dogs....
Do some research on the breed you have.
