I'd like to get to know her, but I sort of lost touch with her last semester. What's a good opening e-mail? Here's what I have so far:

Hi Tania. This is Mike Ferrini from Notre Dame. How is your semester going? I'm taking my education classes at ND and my content classes for life sciences at Tri-C, and I'm doing pretty well with them. I was also curious as to where I could buy one of your CDs.

She's an education student like me, and she's also a part time musician (her music is sort of like a blend of country and rock). Could someone give me some input?

Hi Tania. This is Mike Ferrini from Notre Dame. I just wanted to get back in touch with you from last semester. I hope your doing well.

Then tell her a little about what is going on with you. Tell here you hope to stay in touch . Ask her to e-mail you back and let you know how music career is going and where can you get a CD. If she responds great if not then she does not want to carry on the relationship. GOOD LUCK

That sounds good to me! Probably try to figure out her location to see if you are even close enough to possibly get something going... good luck.
