Why? It's so weird... I have to constantly be drinking something or I feel incomfortable.

Polydipsia is a word that means "excessive thirst", and it is not an absulute.

If your thirst only comes at one time of day, it may have something to do with your eating habits, or what you do just prior to that (going out to smoke filled clubs can irritate your naso-pharynx and increase your thirst).

However, if this is worse than you make this sound, then it could be an early sign of Diabetes, especially if you tend to eat a lot of sweets.

The way you describe this, it could be the cause of eating a lot of sweets in the evening, something a lot of us do.

Also, alcohol will dehydrate you and cause you to be very thirsty, so consider if you drink enough alcohol to bring on this type of thirst.

Finally, there are certain imbalances in parts of the body--including the brain--which can cause great and contiuous thirst cravings.

This might be especially possible if you are very young.

Only an M.D. can diagnose these problems.

If you are constantly thirsty you could be diabetic. Make sure you are not drinking fluids that contain sugar when you crave fluids. Drink some water. But dont drink a gallon of water all in one sitting because you dont have to get water intoxication. Add some salt to the water if you are drinking more than 4 glasses all at once.
Call your doctor and make an appointment. You may have a medical problem or you could just have a dry throat. Maybe get a humidifier for your bedroom.

You seriously could be diabetic. Go to the doctor please. My dad almost died when he started craving drinks really bad. Dont freak out, just make an appointment. Could be nothing... You might just be dehydrated. Either way, make an apointment just in case.

You should really get tested for diabetes, especially if you are fat. My friend was overweight and ate lots of sweets and almost died before he was diagnosed. If your breath has a sweet or wine-y smell, that's another symptom
