Two syllables are okay for hunting dogs too - just wing it. Look at her and say "You look like a _____".

Personally, listen to the suggestions of friends and family - that's how all my dogs have been named, and I have named my friends dogs that way also.

What county is she from? What are her parents names? What is a great name for a great dog?

I like Coal or Soot. If you like people names there is Sam, Jill, Ann, Belle, and a couple of random ones like Asta (from the thin man movies), Flash, Fang (from Harry Potter).
