personaly i like the crunchy version cuz i like to bite and crunch and pulverize my food, have control over it.
puffed is easier to eat, cuz its mostly air bubbles so lazy people (this is a generalization based on the many ppl i know) might like it more.
they make puffy doodles by decreasing the air pressure in a closed system so that when the doodles hit hte air, they expand sucking in air. it's a bit ocmplicated, but the food network has a show, "unwrapped" that demystified the mystery of doodle making

Used to like puffed more but now it's crunchy all the way. Especially the flaming hot cheetos.

Crunchy are the best. The Puffed ones get stuck in your teeth. They are for little kids and elderly people.
