For instance, sometimes I try not to look too interested in front of him even if I like him because then he will think that he has me at his toes. Do men do the same things? Do they act like they dont like a girl just so the girl will be more interested in him?

Definitely! Guys play hard to get all the time... as often as girls do, even. Think about it. We're both girls. If you're anything like me, you probably don't like the guys that are extremely easy to get. You want the tough ones... the ones that you feel are worth fighting for! Sometimes they're just incredibly gorgeous, or have a girlfriend already, but in any case, we don't like the guys that we can have instantly. Guys know this. Since they suck at showing their feelings even when they WANT a girl to know they like her, it's very easy for them to act disinterested and get away with it. Then they make us put ourselves out on the line to find out how they feel, just as we do to them. Hope this helps! :)

Yeah... I don't know why, though... I've found that honesty- with yourself and with others works best...

If you're interested in a guy, talk to him- be bold and have confidence that you are worth it for any guy to spend time with you....

I call it "posture".... it's somewhere between being pushy and being a wuss....

Here's an example-- Let's say I have some chocolate chip cookies- I offer them to lots of people... some accept, some don't... it's not that there's something wrong with my baking or my recipe, but maybe this person is on a diet.. or someone else is alergic to nuts, or chocolate (HEAVEN FORBID!!), or maybe they're more of a sugar cookie kind of person.

Smeone else's choice doesn't affect the quality of what I have to offer.

Don't spend your life being afraid to go after what you want! Yes, when we're young, we often lack confidence with those of the opposite sex, and that's normal.

So stand out- don't be afraid to talk to that great guy you've had your eye on. Maybe he's had his eye on you, and your "Hi," could be just the hint he needs to know that you're interested, too.

I think that some guys believe that if they show interest in a girl that it lessens his machoness. Some men think like boys, so I guess some men do act like that.

When you two are alone or mostly alone turn his palm up towards you and play with his hand by running your finger along the lines and maybe even trace his fingers then while still holding his hands look up at him and flick your eyes down to his lips for a second then look back into his eyes and give a small smile.

it's called "playing hard to get"...generally used by junior high age kids, some people don't outgrow it even in adulthood...it's okay for the younguns because they are still learning social skills anyway...

...as adults, it's dishonest and a waste of time...

If he thinks he could get rejected then he may act disinterested.
