I have known my bestfriend and his younger sister since he was 15 and she was 13. Today, I'm 24 and he is 22 and she is 20. I have had a bug crush on her for all these years (7 years). I have watched my bestfriends other friends date his sister and it always ended badly and cost them both thier friendships. I feel that if I tell her how I really fell about her that I could possibly lose both her and my bestfriends friendship. I don't think she has ever really taken any romantic interest in me although I could be wrong. In a few weeks I'm moving out of state and will hardly, is ever, see them for awhile. Should I tell her and risk being turned down and loose two friendships or just keep my mouth shut like I have all these years.

I don't know if I could take a letdown (rejection) from a girl that care for so much

I think that you should write this girl a note, tell her how you feel. It may or may not be too hard for you to say it in person, but the second best way is to write a note saying how you've felt all these years and how you would be best for her. Also, tell her brother you would treat her like a princess and reassure him that if you did date her, it would be okay, you would never hurt her. Be calm and sensitive and I hope it works out! :-)

I would have a sit down with your friend first. I would tell him your feelings, including how long you have felt this way. If you want to keep your friendship, I would ask for his blessing on any relationship that you may get with this girl. That way your friend knows that you will only have the girl's best interest in mind. You won't know until you try.

You will never know until you say something. I think it is better to say something to her instead of regretting it later and thinking "What would have happened if I had told her?" for the rest of your life. So, go ahead and tell her. It will hurt for a while if she rejects you but you will be okay. Time heals everything.

You should ask your friend first to see if he would be ok with you dating his sister and tell him that if he is not ok with it then you will just keep it to yourself.
