It's never too early. I'd recommend www.fastweb.com to find some great opportunities. Just be wary of some of the ads they put up when you log in. There's always a "No, thanks" link at the bottom. Click that if you don't want junk mail... in both your email inbox and your home one.

Also, keep in mind that some of the scholarships do require that you be entering college next fall. Don't worry. Just take note of them, store the list in a safe place, and come back your senior year... and apply then.

Middle school.
You still have 4 entire years after that, which I think is enough for a even a terrible student to become eligible for scholarships
