Mother lost child and grandmother wants costidy of the child but the child has already been adopted.

undre these kinda situations i believe a judge can over rule yes!!!!!!!!!

If the child was taken away from the biological mother and then adopted by a foster family, it is too late for the biological grandmother to do anything about it.

I am a Grandparent myself trying to get my two grandchild their Mother died 2005 (my daughter)they are in foster care now but there is so much you have to do to prove you can care for them and it will take time and really wanting to have them . I feel for you .I know I will do what ever it take to have my grandchildren in my life. Go to Social Service and see what they can do for you . Why weren't you ask first ? They always try to place children with family if they can. Would their Mother be able to see the child if so maybe that's why they didn't place the child with you. I don't know why she lost her child but they shouldn't hold that against you.You might have to get a lawyer to see if you have a case. if only to get to see the child. Good Luck

no u cannot adopt a child if they are already adopted@!!!!
