This is something the parents and child need to discuss. There are options as already mentioned. Maybe he could stay with another family that at that Church or maybe a close relative. This a hard situation that I doubt we can fix here. They really need to talk this over. 5 more years he can be on his own, maybe the parents need to consider the children's feelings and once they graduate from school then they can do missionary work. I not sure, but, I think in Corinthians it mention a little about family responsibility. I not think God in a big hurry for them to go back to where-ever. Heck, look how long God had to wait on Mose to get his act together. I remember when we were young my Dad's work moved him around often. Once we moved to Georgia, then North Carolina and then to Mississippi in about a 4 year period before moving back to what was home (Where we actually owned a house). My sister was the oldest and already out of school working. My brother wanted to Graduate from the school he was in and with his friends, so, mom and dad just let him stay with my sister and them and me went on our 4 year trip. I was able to return in the 8th grade and my friends all remembered me and we graduated together. But, as a family we were able to discuss how everyone felt and made it work for the best of everyone.

It has been since the beginning of the making of laws that show a certain age for maturity. This age does vary in Countries; States; and locations, but is based on facts. Some Countries have an age of 22 years for young women! Young men are not accountable of themselves and the laws should support this fact. This is why some parents should be charged with the child's crime in certain circumstances. At age 13, there is no choice but to go with the parents; unless the parents agree to let him stay with other parents they trust. This does not usually happen so he will probably go with his parents and for his own good. God bless. Earl

Any progress that his parents make on their mission is negated if they don't first take care of the child they brought into this world. Could you please tell them that for me?
