There's this guy I want to get to know that hangs out at this one store... I really want to get to know him but I don't know how... and I don't want to make a fool out of myself by coming up to him and saying 'Hi, what's your name??... Ok thanks, I'm.. going to go now...' ... What's the best way to get to talk with this guy????

Does he work there?
ask him to help you find something in the store or about one of the products in the store. Then after he tells you ask him how he learned so much about it. Ask open ended questions ( shouldn't be a yes or no answer). Or if he doesn't know about it... laugh about the fact that you both don't know.
also just smile, make eye contact and say hi (be friendly not creepy) to him everytime you go to that store. soon he'll get used to you and know you.
