I would most definitely recommend the Maxi Glide by Maxius. My hair is naturally very curly, and I can get my hair straight within 15 minutes! It has these teeth/comb type things in the plates, so it actually straightens all the strands, not just the ones on top and bottom, leaving the hairs in between matted and unstraightened. It leaves your hair soft and frizz-free, soooo beautiful! However, if you actually prefer flat plates in your straightener, they include a set of those as well. The price is very affordable: just $60-$75 depending on where you buy it. <3

Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".( $75/85)

If you mean temporarily, the True Ceramic professional flat iron is the best for effect and for the condition of your hair after using something like this on a regular basis.
For permanent straightening ONLY and I mean ONLY go to a very experienced salon for that. Those chemicals are very strong and only a well trained professional knows how to apply them so your hair won't break.
