This is usually a very individual thing because healing and sensitivity as well as the operation will vary somewhat. It is up to the wife to determine when she thinks she is ready. The first 2 weeks after you start being intimate again will not feel the best for her, usually. What is needed to begin intimacy again is very slow and methodic insertion to keep the pain to a minimum. This may take some time if done too soon after childbirth. If there is redness in the healing area, it is too soon. Cleanliness is very important always, and especially when beginning again. God bless. Earl

Maybe a night of candles a bubble bath, a nice dinner and you can do things that aren't intercourse to be intimate. he is probably ready and felt left out for a while so try to let him know ahead of time, a note in his car so he sees it on his way to work and thinks about it all day. Maybe a card at night on his pillow promising him a good night on the weekend coming up so he can do something nice for you if he thinks of it or wants to. Get a sitter for even a few hours and mwke it special. Even a good movie and cuddleing and a glass or two of wine. Good luck.

cuddle, take walk's and hold hands, you would be amazed at how good holding hands feels. Lay on the floor together and watch a movie snuggled up on pillows. Sometimes no sex is a better intimacy.

oral. touching. massage. come on.. are you that naive? you can have sex right after if you want.. just remember you can get prenaunt. its just when your comfortable to do it again.. or you can always just get another partner in the mean time. take up swinging.

Perhaps perfoming oral sex on him if you're comfortable doing that and he can restrain from wanting vaginal sex.

Just kiss and cuddle. You will be too tired to do anything else anyway.
