Man, oh man. These other people are lied to and lie so much they believe it. Illegal aliens DO NOT PAY for hospital treatment. DO NOT PAY is the same thing as FREE. If you do not pay for something it is called FREE. That means you can get a bill handed to you, but you never have to pay it. Illegal aliens NEVER PAY for medical attention. It is a TAXPAYER EXPENSE after it is deemed uncollectable. That means the TAXPAYERS OF THE UNITED STATES PAY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS medical attention. I am not mentioning FOOD STAMPS, WELFARE, HOUSING, UNEMPLOYMENT, and so on. No, you are not special as the illegal aliens. The best thing to do if you can't afford medical is to get a fake Mexican ID (no, I'm not kidding) and learn Spanish. I'm serious! They will give you free medical. If you are an American with a Social Security number, they will hunt you down, garnish your wages, and destroy your credit until they get the money for the medical services. Illegal aliens walk, and the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS FOOT THE BILL!!!!

Everyone is billed. But, who pays their bills? If they are breaking the law being here illegally. Breaking the law by driving with fake license or no license. Breaking the law by driving with no insurance. Why should they be responsible and pay their own bills. Sure the illegals may take some low paying jobs that educated citizens don't want to do. Do they pay taxes? Does the little tax they pay off set the cost of their dozen kids going to our schools? Free lunch programs? Does the money they earn stay here to support our economy?
Yes your family can get treated and billed and you can refuse to pay those bills. Your credit report will suck. You won't like the interest rates you qualify for. So, you long as well go on welfare.

Mostly white Americans are saying illegals get it free. Saying does not make it fact. Some E.R. might give treatment to everybody insurance or no insurance but it is not free. Everybody is charged. Now whether you pay the bill or not is a different story.
Medical insurance started going up 20 years ago. It has nothing to do with illegals. It was just plain greed just like the gas and medication companys. It goes back to what I have been saying. Only white Americans blame it on the illegals.

A hospital can not refuse treatment for anything that could be life threatening. Of course to determine that - one has to be checked out (thus making a bill) before such can be determined.
I know that several southern states have towns that are facing closing of their hospital districts because of this very real problem.
The link below is a story - from a hospital set in the Hispanic community - that is facing closing because of this very problem that will cause further problems for other area hospitals for the same reason - free emergency hospital care.
BTW - the link is from the National Society for Hispanic Professionals

I am going to give you a scenario....
Say, tomorrow - Sunday, you are walking to the Circle K to buy the Sunday paper. You see a driver run into a group of people - maybe a family and speed off. Several people are laying on the ground - some obviously seriously wounded. What would you do:
1. Whip out the cell phone and call 911
2. Walk over to the wounded people and ask "are you illegal immigrants and do you have insurance"?
If they were able to respond, and you didn't like the answer you heard - would you just walk away and say to hell with it...
Think about it and you will arrive at a very important truth about emergency rooms.

The reason why people say they get it for free is because they are undocumented, they don't have valid SS#'s. So when the bill comes they don't pay, hence FREE medical services from our Emergency Hospitals. U.S. Citizens have to provide valid ID's and traceable SS#'s so if we don't pay our bills it goes against our credit. So if you want FREE medical forge your documents, present those documents to the hospital, and then they won't be able to find you either. Its a scam, Its a crime, its the way of life for the Illegals.

I dont think there are any emergency rooms that can turn anyone away just because of ability to pay. I see signs in most emergency rooms stating this. Although they will ask for an insurance card and possibly payment up front, They can't turn you away.

Even if they are billed, what percentage actually pays it?? Most work under the table, pay no taxes, have fake IDs, are untraceable, if they were, they would be deported...what means can the hospitals use to collect?
It's not as if ILLEGAL ALIENS are listed in the phone book!!!!!
As was mentioned before, this is why so many hospitals are closing now.

Can't wait for the bitching that will follow this question.....
As far as I know....yes...they will definitley be treated in an emergency. But no it won't be free.
I'm illegal and I'm paying social and medicare but as far as I know I don't qualify for either.
In my opinion you should recieve free emergency medical if you pay your taxes, otherwise you are taking unfair advantage of the system.
Buy insurance, that way you are paying your own way and not relying on others to foot the bill for you.
