Jesus did not give it a name. Early on it was called "The Way" and later it came to be known as Christianity, because Jesus was the Christ.

Jesus did not give a name to this religion. The term christianity arose after his death. They were probably called followers of Jesus while He was still on this earth

ACTS 11:26 ...And the disciples were called Christians , first at Antioch.
Christians are followers of Christ.
King Agrippa said, Almost thou persuadeth me to be a Christian.,in Acts 26:28
1 Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, but let him not be ashamed, but glorify God on this behalf.
Christ died for his Church, he is the only foundation, he is the head and His Church was established on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2.
Those who follow this New Testament Church of Christ, are following Jesus Christ, and are called Christians.

This is a great question. I believe that a number of people would like an answer to this question. However, I could not say anything more than Penny Mae said. She is right on the MARK and has great references! Keep up the good work Penny Mae.

"Saulianity", maybe? It was after all Saul of Tarsus (St. Paul) who invented the religion.
