sounds like I'm doing your homework...lol... okay, here goes:
1) A true friend is there in the good times and the bad. They don't run off when the going gets tough.
2) Once you've lost something (like a friendship) is when you really recognize how much it was worth to you and how much you miss it.
3) True friends can just be together, (they don't have to work at impressing the other person, and) they know each other so well, that they can figure out what the other is thinking and feeling without saying a word, they just know.

(1)"A friend is someone who dances with you in the sunlight, And walks with you in the shadows"
This refers to the true friendship. A friend is someone who enjoys life with you in the good times, but consoles you and stays with you in the bad. The metaphor: dances in the sunlight (the good times) and walks with you in the shadows (the hard times.)
2)"True friendship is like a rose. We can't realize it's beauty until it fades."
This seems to be saying that we don't appreciate a friendship until it is over; until it has ended or comes close to ending.
3)"True friendship comes when silence between two people is comfortable"
This, also, comments on true friendship. The insight here is that friendship, deep friendship is content simply to be together ...not even talking or doing anything, just BEING together.

(3) when two people are so comfortable around eachother, that neither on feels like they need to keep up a convorsation because they are just friends, there is no need for words, just being together is enough

Number one is a variation on: "A friend in need is a friend indeed." Basically it means that friends are there for you come rain or shine, through thick and thin, in good times and in bad (almost like a marriage partner!).
Number two has to do with appreciation in that one may rarely realize just how beautiful something is when it's at its fullest because there's nothing with which to compare it. A faded rose is a mere shadow of its former self. And you might not realize what a great friend you've had until s/he is no longer in your life.
Three is simply that when you're really relaxed and at ease with someone, neither one of you needs to nervously fill up the space. You two can still in silence knowing that you're there for one another.

(1) means that a friend is there for you when you are happy and when you are sad.
(2) Its like when you realize you didnt know what you had until it was gone. You take it for granted in other words
(3) Meaning you dont always have to talk. You are comfortable just sitting in eachothers company, not needed anything to be said. You know when you first meet someone you kinda keep trying to make the conversation go smoothly, well when you have a true friend you dont feel the need to be so nervous, so you dont have to talk all the time to impress them.

1. it means a true friend not only enjoys you when life is good, but also will be by your side and support you when your life is down or you have hard things to face.
2. means you might not realize what a good friend you have in someone until you no longer have them.
3. means you have agreat friend that you can be with without having to feel like you must cater to them and keep up a conversation or entertain them all the time. You just like being together even if you have nothing to say.
