He has to buy exactly 100 pets and spend exactly 100 dollars. How many of each pet should he buy?

Remember, the pet column and the dollar column must both be exactly 100. And no, the cats can't eat the mice.

There is a mathematical answer to this question, I'm not playing with you! If you get it really fast, look again, you probably didn't get it!

ppl it says...............how many of EACH PET should he buy.....the problem in this mathematical question is that it says DOGS (not a single dog but more than one) cost $15, CATS (more than one again) cost 1 dollar, and Mice (same as for cats and dogs) cost 25 cents...............so the problem is that there should have been a price of a single dog, cat , and a mouse...................which you didn't put but if you meant that a single dog costs 15, cat costs 1 , and a mouse costs 25 cents.............then its a tough 1

there are two ways one is just buy 100 cats which would be $100 but there is another way in which you can buy 41 cats which would be $41 and 3 dogs which would cost $45 and 56 mice which would be $14

100 cats would cost 100 dollars. It doesn't say I have to purchase some of each pet.
