Me and my ex have a few mutual friends and he acts a little weird when I'm around. I try to have a good time with our friends but he dosn't really get into conversations that I start. And he dosn't really start any conversations when I'm around. He is some what avoiding me and it's a bit annoying. I'll be doing somthing and sometimes look in his direction to notice that he is looking at me which I find odd. For a while I was trying to talk to him and be friendly but it didn't seem to do much good since he didn't seem intrested in talking to me. After we broke up he said we would still be friends but we never really talk anymore. Sometimes he'll say or do somthing funny and I'll laugh and he just looks at me funny. I really want to be his friend since theres really no way around not being around him. As long as his friends are my friends I can't completly avoid him. Why can't he just act normal around me? It's been a little over a month since we broke up.

He probably still likes you and is still upset about the break-up.

Maybe you should just avoid him for a bit and if he comes back around say, "Well, I decided not to talk to you because it seems like you didn't want to talk to me."

It has only been a month and I suspect he still has unresolved feelings concerning his former relationship with you. Give him time and as much space as possible.
