Well, if you have the time, read my story... one of my best friend asked me if i liked him and i said "no" just because i was embarrassed and shy (i did like him.) we still hung out and talked, but i told him later that i liked him and he didn't like me anymore! so you never know if she likes you unless you talk to her and stay friends with her! if it's meant to be, it will happen! Hope you'll be married to the girl of your dreams someday! Best of Luck!

You'll probably won't like what I'm going to say, but you asked so I'll be honest: I think she doesn't want to date you, she said she'd think about it at first not to hurt your feeling, but she was too chickensh*t to own up to this when the time came, so she sent her friends to give you the message.
The other point, the whole shyness and not talking, that's classic when, in a man-woman friendship (which I don't believe they exist if both parties are straight) one of the persons demonstrates interest that goes beyond platonic (by this I mean romantic interest or sexual attraction), and the other doesn't feel the same way. It almost always gets "weird", and sometimes it's enough to finish the friendship, if the parties can't overcome the "weirdness".
Now the most important aspect, the flirty thing. This demonstrates that this girl is an attention hound, since she has no intention of dating you but needs your attention as a self-esteem booster (she thinks of you as Red Bull for her self-esteem), don't fall into her game PLEASE!! She may use you and discard you when it's convenient for her (e.g. to make another guy jealous, etc.) and she'll leave you to pick up the pieces.
Your self-worth is not determined by how much someone pretends to need you, your real value goes beyond necessity and into the commodity realm. When somebodY NEEDS nothing but WANTS you, that's who you should consider as a possible partner. Stronger and more independent girl who don't need other people who feed her self-esteem.

She sounds like me when I was in middle school. If this girl is like me, then yes, she likes you, but is embarrased to tell you. She sounds VERY shy, since her friends had to tell you that she said no. But she could also not be ready for a boyfriend yet. You should just go up and talk to her, as a friend. Don't pressure her to be your girlfriend, make her feel comfortable around you. Good Luck, I think she likes you, but don't be too pushy.

Aww...it sounds like she does like you but something is holding her back. You said you don't really talk anymore...so are you good friends? Maybe she is afraid of losing your friendship. Call her and just be honest--ask her why she said no. I know it's hard but it's the best way to find out without making yourself crazy.

you did your best you put your best foot forward and well it didnt happen. so why all the other stuff now. one of two things, she either got so nervous about it that she said no just to get rid of the stress of it and is now regretting it or she is a attention whore and wants you to do your little dance for her. i would cut my losses and move on. if you stepped up and she said no that is pretty cut and dry to me and my pride would not let me keep asking when there are many many other girls out there.

It sounds like she doesn't. The watching you is probably to see if you're watching her. She probably wants to look nonchalant around you. You know you do the same exact thing when you know a person likes you!

Ask her out one more time. If she still says 'no', then respect her answer and leave her alone. Sometimes you don't know the answer until you ask the right question.

It looks like she likes you but her friends do not. Which she has fallen to peer pressure. My advise is start talking to someone else.

no she doesnt like you. but, she wants your attention anyway. she looks at you because she thinks you like her and are always staring at her. the best thing to do is ignore the hell out of her...she's immature and insecure.
