I was just at a high school basektball game to watch my youngest brother play. Everything was going fine until the varsity was getting ready to start. The team my brother's team was playing has this player whom is going to get the state's record for most points(i live in ohio, his name is Jon Diebler)...anyways...when they were anouncing the starters, after everyone for our team was announced..they would go "he's nobody!"....how rude is that?! And before the game the announced that this Jon guy was nominated for the all american team...just nominated...and they went nuts and were shouting things at our team....like "at least we have a player whom can get nominated" and such. This guy probably won't ever play in the NBA...and he's not that bad of a player or anything...i give him credit..but its his fans!!....

Why can't fans be less obnoxious?

It's unfortunate, but fans often exhibit more "unsportsmanlike" conduct than the players. Somewhere along the line, they've forgotten the pure joy of just watching the sport without being rude and spoiling it for everyone else. Try watching a Yankee game at Yankee Stadium. It's disgraceful the way the fans boo, hiss, curse and even throw things at any opposing team's players. That's why I stopped going to live games. At home, on TV, I don't have to put up with such embarrassing behavior.

The refs and coaches are supposed to stop people from doing things like this. When my friend's daughter was playing basketball in high school someone was being rude to the refs and the ref told the coach to deal with it. It is really idiotic that people act this way, and most of the time it is the adults that are doing it, and they are supposed to be setting an example for their kids.
