Last night I let two little boy spend the night with my son.In the morning they all went out to play in the snow.While they was out in the snow one of the little boys moms pulled up and honked her horn and picked up her son.About 2 hours later me,kids,and my husband were going to my moms and we got pulled over.The officer said I had to go with him for questioning about the child that had just left my house.When I got to the police station the officer said that the little boy and his mom had reported that my son and his other friend had poured water on him and I locked him out and wouldn't let him back in the house.They was going to charge me with child abuse and negletic but can't due to proof.Can I do anything about these false aligations?

it sounds to me like the child didn;t get along with your child's friend. Have you asked your son about the accusations? It sounds like a cry for attention. Before getting lawyers invoved maybe you should try and find out the real story. I find it disturbing that the mother didn't even try to talk with you about what went on. I would be more concerned with resolving the matter than worried about false alligations. If you did nothing to harm any of these children then you have no need to prove her wrong. She should be proving her son's allegations.

For one thing, why weren't you outside watching these kids...you just let them out the front door and weren't watching what they did? That will be the question someone is going to ask you...where was your parental observation? ANd when you have othr people's children to watch you are totally resposnible for what happens to them. Now nothing horrible happened, thank GOd, but you might need a lawyer to help you with this. And the next time, and any time, even with your own children, watch watch watch. What would have happened if someone had come by and snatched that child...you would be hung out on a line to dry, with no line to hang on!!!! PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY!

no. it sucks, but it doesn't really matter at this point since you wern't charged. if you did seek some sort of legal action it would take more time and money than it is worth.
