This girl and I both like eachother and she just broke up with her boyfriend a few days ago. So how long should I wait? A few weeks?

well, if you don't know the situation, if she got hurt, or she just go sick of the guy. So ask her how it happened. But don't be so pushy that she pushes you away. Give her time to herself, shes probably thinking. Just be there for her when she really needs it. Even if its hard, tell her she looks beautiful when shes wearing levis and a sweatshirt/ and maybe she'll get the hint that you'll ask her out.
Give it 6-8 days. Ask her. She'll say yes if you do everything right.

Depending on how close her and her boyfreind were. But id say to wait like two weeks and give her some time to get over him. You wouldent want to go out with her if she still was unsure of her feelings for someone else.

Ugh..why wait that long. Make it a friendly date so you can get to know the girl better. It doesn't have to be a romantic walk on the beach. Go get a pizza and go to the acrade. Something fun.

Give it a week, and meanwhile write her a letter telling how you feel. We chicks LOVE that sort of stuff. WE LOVE IT. It shows us a guy really likes us and will take the time to express thier feeling through a form of art.
