Alright, that's where you are at. We all need the Lord to keep working on our character and self-control, don't we? There is a difference between having your face slapped and having someone try to punch you out. There might be a place for self-defense.

Obeying Jesus is always going to leave the better impression.
"You are the salt of the earth, but if salt loses its saltiness, its good for nothing but to be thrown out into the streets and trampled upon by men." (Matthew 5:13)
What was Jesus talking about?
Witness the plight of some who have lost their testimony - Jim Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, Ted Haggard.

It takes an INCREDIBLE amount of Inner strength to resist fighting back. Its far easier to retaliate than to hold back. Jesus possessed that inner strength to resist and he says you have that too.

Repent of fighting. However, there is no shame in walking off from a situation when no good can come of you hanging around getting battered.

So your saying that you don't trust God enough to let him deal with anyone who acts out against you? Instead you need to avenge yourself contrary to what he has commanded? unless you are fighting to defend peoples lives cant you just let God take care of it?

Would you consider removing yourself from the situation so that there would be no need to swing?

You are welcome to defend yourself.

If you love Jesus, you did not blow your testimony. You may have added a few lines to it. ROFL.

Shalom!
