Caz_v8 is correct, but he omitted details. That aircraft was a 747SP I believe (shorter version of B747 and cooler looking I think) and was rigged with extra fuel tanks in the lower cargo holds. It was a delivery flight to the airline and the extra tanks were removed after arrival. The only passengers onboard were technicians.
Usually B747 aircraft max out at about 350,000 to 380,000 thousand pounds of fuel (different series of B747) with a range between 5000 ~ 7000 nautical miles depending on the total weight and the effects of wind.

What's the farthest a Boeing 747 carrying passengers has been flown without refueling?
10,290 miles. In 1976, a Boeing 747 was flown non-stop from Paine Field, Washington to Cape Town in South Africa, a record distance for a passenger flight.
Now, with capability of refeulling many air craft mid air, the ability to fly a longer path has been made available, pretty nifty hey??

That depends on the model and fuel capacity set of the aircraft 747(100,200,300,400 etc or ER(extended range) or SP(special performance)) the average is in the 5000 -7000 nautical mile area. depending on the engines and settings.

depends on the model. ie the 747-800er (the newer er models ) go farther than the -700. it also depends on the takeoff weight.
