Over the past few weeks, my appetite has become instiable. I eat a very balanced diet of fruits, veggies, lean meats, and whole unprocessed foods. I usually eat normal sized portions and feel satisfied after a healthy meal. I excercise hard nearly everyday, so I eat about 2000 calories per day. I'm 5'6", 130lbs, very lean and quite muscular. My weight is stable.

But, for some reason, lately I just can't get "filled up". For example, for lunch today I had a nice sized skinless turkey breast (that I roasted myself) and a huge serving of quinoa mixed with peas, carrots, onions, and mushrooms. I'm talking about a 9" plate completely filled with food. I ate that and remained hungry. So, then I had a small piece of whole grain bread. Still hungry so I just started guzzling water and made some hot tea.

I drink about 120 oz of water per day, so I know its not thirst or dehydration.

I am not pregnant.

What gives? And, what the heck should I eat to fill my grumbling belly?

Sometimes when your immune system is depleated, you feel extra hungry.

Winter is the time of year we all eat more and crave heavier foods

Maybe you have been extra active, your body will want more fuel if it is burning more...

If I were you I'd give in but fill myself by eating healthy heavy things like stew, potatoes, buckwheat pancakes, healthy but filling foods.

Stress is the cause.
Eat a small meal every 3-4 hours.
Drink water only when thirsty.
Start your day by eating a red delicious apple for breakfast.
Tea is a chemical stimulant, that will make more stress.
Do daily stretching and aerobics.

You need to get your blood sugar checked. Make a doctors appointment. 120 oz. of water is way too much water too, you are stressing your kidneys.
