split ends have nothing to do with your hair not growing. Just get a haircut and get the damaged ends off so it looks better. sometimes the split can go a few inches up the hair shaft and make your hair weak and break. That is why you may not think your hair is growing. Take care of the damage.

I suggest you cut your split ends. What I do is I trim my hair by an inch each month at the salon or at home. It doesn't affect the length of your hair since you don't see that much a difference and gets rid of the split ends. The longer you wait the more hair you'll have to trim to get of the split ends in the long run.
hope this helps

Your hair will still grow, but if you don't trim the split ends, it will not look nice. Your hair will be damaged and in some cases, even break. You are better off having your spilt ends trimmed up.

You're right. :) Having split ends doesn't affect the hair's ability to grow from the top of your head. The problem with split ends is that they cause breakage, which can make your hair seem like it isn't growing - even though it really is!

Your hair will still grow but the split on the ends will also go farther up the hair shaft making your hair look fuzzy and unhealthy. If you want to keep the growth, make sure that only the VERY ENDS are trimmed.

Your hair doesn't grow from the ends it grows from the roots, from the scalp. Snipping off split ends helps your hair to be healthy. If you don't cut off the split ends the split can travel up the hair shaft and cause breakage.
