Most of the time, I'm happy. . .sometimes I have to fake it. . .and of course, sometimes I'm just plain miserable.

Happiness is a frame of mind. Happiness comes from within.
If our happiness relies on outside influences ( people or things) then yes we are just pretending. It is not happiness it's desire.
Am I happy? I'm beginning to awake to the fact the more things in life I let go of the happier I become. For me less is more. A paradox. Can you understand?

i don't think happiness is really tangible, i mean you can "pursue" happiness, as Benjamen Franklin implied with the first ammendment, but can anyone ever really have it? I think most people pretend to be happy, hoping that one day it will come true. Now, i'm not a total cynic becuase i believe in hope, and i think hope really is the same thing as happiness. it may not be what we want or expect, but we can have that. so i guess i'm pretending and hoping...

Heh, mostly pretending. I do find though that pretending to be happy actually results in my being at least happier, because it causes the people around me to stop worrying about if I'm unhappy or not, so they leave me alone! ... perhaps I am happy after all..

I'm happy, as life is too short to pretend

Pretending. I think I will be happier when I find someone to be happy with.

I'm struggling to be happy. Some days I just don't feel good. Inspite of my blessed life (compared to those worse than me), I don't feel total peace. Each time I feel down, I try to get out of it by thanking God for small and big blessings. I have family relationship problems too and it does get to me. I am living each day at a time.

Happy? What's that? I'm merely content. If I have to put on a show then I switch it on but I am very even in my mood. Right in the middle.

I have my occasional moments, but yes. I am very happy. I have an amazing life filled with amazing people, it seems ordinary, but to me, it is amazing and I am certainly happy.
