I've had small red bumps on my upper arm for years. I've seen other people with it too. Does anyone know how to make it go away or less visible?

Your bumps are known as Keratosis Pilaris. Here's a website that give a brief explanation about them.

I've used DermaDoctor's KP Duty for a couple of years now and it works pretty well.

Keratosis Pilaris, I am sorry. There is no proven cure, but you can go to your dermatoligist to see if they can give something to lessen it.

I have it too, but I also have a different form. I have the red bumps on my upper arms, then I have them where they look like permenant goosebumps trailing up my legs, to my hips, up my ribs, all the way to my neck. I have suffered with them for years. They are hereditery and teenagers are very likely to get them. Sometimes they disapear with age, but sometimes they don't.

Have you been taking a lot of aspirin lately?
Had a virus?
Been on a different medication?
These sound like Petechia. They are usually harmless, caused by tiny tiny, drops of blood escaping from veins under the skin and rising to just under the skin.
However if you are over 18, an adult, you need to see a Doctor to find out if it has something to do with your platelet count, development.
Now if you see doctor and find out they are harmless, go to your dermatologist and he can remove them with an electric needle.
It only takes a second for one.

About a month I had something like this but I had it for a week or two, I had a herpes viris, and I went to get accupuncture, and then over the next few days I was okey, just stay away from other people if it is a herpes viris.

Use a sugar scrub a couple of times a week to help exfoliate.
