Take a plastic spoon and put 2 hersey kisses in it, wrap in seran wrap or tulle and tie w/ribbon w/ a tag sayin "spoonful o'kisses from the mr.&mrs." OR print address label from walmart to say "shake this candy to marital bliss and keep on shakin' until they kiss" on one end and add your name date to the other end. put the label around a box of tic-tac mints. Sams Club sells them in bulk . It's nice so people don't keep tappin glasses @ the reception.

dont make any wedding favors. Why do i say that? I have been to 10+ weddings in my life and I am always the only person at my table to take my favor home. My friends wedding last august they had little candles and every table had all the candles on it when guests left. I will not have them at my wedding BUT instead I will give a gift at the end of my BRIDAL shower. People will take a little gift home if you hand it to them at a party but they wont take it home at the wedding.
Consider open bar instead of wedding favors and/or give away the center piece. Have the DJ do some contest or announcement giving away the center piece because guests will always love taking flowers home.

i think my aunt's wedding favors were the cutest i've seen yet, she found small bottles of sparkling apple cider and small bottles of wine from the dollar store or the 99 cent store and made labels off the computer with adobe photoshop with her and her husband's picture and date, it was a big hit with the guests. or another one I received was a candy rose, two kisses with a skewer in one kiss wrapped with red cellophane and green floral tape down the skewer to make a stem and they tied a ribbon on it with the names of the couple and the wedding date. each guest received a rose.
another great one would be to get a candle making kit, grab some fresh flowers or pressed flowers or sea shells or what not and make small candles as favors, those add a special touch to the table if you make a big one for center pieces and each guest can have a small votive sized candle to take home to enjoy.
good luck hope I helped.

My aunt had CD's made of some of the songs that had played at the wedding reception and during the wedding. And there was a picture of my aunt and the groom on the front of the CD with their names and the date of the wedding. It was really great-I still play that CD to this day!

I used tulle and Jordan almonds, but anything candy and a small container will do. You can even get the candy in your colors. I've also see very small picture frames with a picture of the couple in it. Sachets would be another good idea. Your best bet would be to get a do-it -yourself wedding book. You can find them in any craft store or the library.
