Just for the main title parts on a poster board, like introduction and conclusion.

Also any suggestions for the write up that will go with that poster, i don't want to use times new roman to keep it from being to bland.

Personally I like comic sans. Arial is also a commonly accepted font. I think that it is easy to read and is larger than some of the other fonts. Stay away from the fonts that are hard to read. My children are in junior high and they always choose "cool" fonts but they are really difficult to read. If I were grading it I would tell them to use something basic. The scripted fonts and fancy ones may stand out, but they stand out because they HURT your EYES! Especially after you grade 90 others!

I would reconsider your background first and foremost! If your background is too busy, you need to fix that before anything. Keep it clean and organized. It should be easy enough for any font to appear. Good Luck
