It all depends on if you want to use it as a dressing or a dipping sauce. Also, you don't have to have expensive or designer ingredients to make a good honey mustard. Below is a recipe that I concocted & I have received many compliments over the years. It would be enough for approximately 4-6 people to dip chicken fingers in.

8 tablespoons of mayonaisse
4 tablespoons of yellow mustard
3 tablespoons of honey
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice

mix together & enjoy!

If you want to use as a dressing, double the above recipe & add 1/4 cup of skim or 2 % milk.

Hope this is helpful.

Generally, it's just honey and brown mustard, in various proportions, plus spices or herbs if wanted... sometimes vinegar of some kind is added too.

The way I like it best though --not being a real mustard fan-- is when mayo is added to the honey and mustard mixture... it makes it more smooth and less tart and mustardy, and better IMO.

Honey Mustard Dressing:

5 tablespoons medium body honey (sourwood is nice)
3 tablespoons smooth Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Serve as a dressing or a dip.
