The only way to get over shyness is to audition. Try auditioning for a school play or something like that. After a while you will either get over the shyness or learn to control it. Good Luck.:)

1st- Ignore the fact you're trying out. Pretend you're in the shower at the auditions.
2nd- Why Disney Channel out of everything?

Some approaches to try are:
1. trying watching yourself audition in front of a mirror
2. Get some friends together and try auditioning in front of them. They can let you know what they think and why approaches you might try to change so you improve.
3. Always keep a positive attitude and always tell yourself that you can do this.

Tell your acting teacher you want to audition for the Disney Channel and tell her/him you would like him/her to coach you for the audition.

Why would you want to be on Disney Channel? No offense, but Disney Channel actors are often considered inferior to other actors. Sure, it's a great place to start, but still...

If that's your personality and you just can't help it, you're not the kind of girl to get envolved in it. Otherwise, you will not even pass the casting! They don't need that kind of people, they feel like are just wasting precious time.
But you can try if you want, but be strong to confront ridiculous

You have to think that shyness will just disturb you in your performance. You don't have to be shy, because everyone has their own "good side" and "bad side". God make you as perfect as you are, so don't be shy if you're not wrong!
ok?

The secret of performing or public speaking is remembering that they WANT to watch you. They're pulling for your success.

What you can do is practice in front of your family or the people you can trust, or imagine that everyone in the audience is a person that you can trust.
