Pam shouldn't be used for a cookie sheet. When making cookies, I always use something called "Parchment paper," which can be found at any supermarket (often in the same area in the store as aluminum foil). Parchment paper is simply put on top of any cookie sheet, and you put your dough right on the paper. The cookies will bake beautifully, and their bottoms will be perfect and the cookie sheet will have been untouched (since parchment paper's on it!) It is a sheer miracle for me, and I bake endlessly, so I use it often. Try it!!!!

The Pam baking spray with Flour is awesome for baked goods, especially cakes....they always turn right out of the pan. Normally cookies don't call for a greased pan, but if they do, Pam baking spray is a good choice. However, it will not prevent the cookies from being burnt. You need to get used to your oven (if it runs hot) and adjust the temp accordingly, and watch your cookies closely.

It is a non stick spray. I have actually found that the cookies burn easier when using Pam. Most cookies do not need a greased baking sheet. Check the recipe and see if it calls for it.

don't use the Pam for cookie sheets. It burns them more. If you cookie sheet is old that is what is burning your cookies not the Pam. Trust me on this one~I know. Get a new cookie sheet and use no Pam and you will be fine and the cookies too....:)

You'd have to use a LOT of Pam. Try these substitutions: Ranch dressing Sour Cream/Plain Yogurt with garlic salt and/or prepared horseradish Cream, half-and-half, powdered milk/non-dairy creamer + milk/water and add spice Alfredo sauce Silken Tofu... just in case you had that lying around.. but it does make SUCH creamy delicious mashed taters Or make pasta with the same sauce as the meatloaf, and serve a slice of the loaf over the pasta. Or make a rice side dish with frozen veggies for color

Pam is for not sticking only. I always slightly underbake my cookies so they don't burn. Silpat silicone baking mats work well for keeping food from sticking too.

Only taking your cookies out of the oven before they have a chance to burn will prevent the dreaded black cookies. ;)

Better hint!
Use parchment paper!
cookies don't stick, are harder to burn and you can set up your need "sheet" without having the cookie sheet.
