I have one on my wrist that I adore & it didn't hurt any more than my other ones.
And, for the record, I am neither a prostitute nor a sailor. I'm also not "low-class". I am a Magna *** Laude graduate & professional woman with a high paying corporate job residing in Manhattan...who happens to have 4 tattoos AND a navel piercing. I also attended the Viennese Opera Ball at the Waldorf-Astoria last January, so the "gentleman" (and I use that term losely) professing it to be verboten in high society is mistaken. It is not reflective of my status or intelligence. If someone wants to judge me based on something as trite as this, let them. I have more important things to worry about.
Note: interesting how this site assumes that I am using foul language rather than describing my degree & censors the second word!

Hi, I am a successful professional at my job and I have one. They are not more dangerous, although it does take more time to heal because you are always using your arms or hands in anything you do, and you will feel any movement you make "tug" on your tattoo. I have one (a 4-leaf clover) on my wrist. I will not lie to you.......It does hurt TREMENDOUSLY more than one somewhere else, but it is completely worth it. I have another one on my shoulder blade that took 2 hours and it hurt LESS than the quarter sized one on my wrist that took 30 minutes....Good luck to ya and I say GO FOR IT, It is the coolest thing I have done so far and everyone I come across loves it !!!

I have one in my wrist and its actually on my wrist , not like some people who get it 2inch above. No its not anymore dangerous then getting anywhere else. You want a small cross i doubt that its going to do anything i have really big words and there's nothing wrong with it. Just make sure you trust whoever does you tat!

My boyfriend has a tattoo on both of his wrist. Its not dangerous at all. He said it didn't really hurt at all expect on the bones on the outside of the wrist. He has had jobs with it and not McDonalds so you can have a good job.
I would say go for it. 110% i love tattoos. the wrist is just the beginning of a sleeve. you've got plenty of canvas to work with.

As long as the tattoo artist knows what they are doing, it is pretty safe but, yes very painful. You have to remember that anytime you get it on thinner skin or on an area with a bone under the skin, it is going to hurt worse.

Well I don't know if they are more dangerous, probably not if you are going to a professional. But I have a friend who got a tattoo around her wrist and she said it was pretty painful. She may like the tattoos but I'd never get one so I can't speak from personal experience.

The top of my wrist felt like someone snapping me with a rubber band. My inner wrist is the only tatt that actually hurt, but it wasn't bad.

my brother put initials on his wrist. the tatoo artist said it was just as safe as any other tatoo. but it hurts really bad since there is not as much fat on the wrist.
