I usually say I have another call, someone's at the door, or that I have to hang up then simply hang up the phone. You cannot teach clueless dimwits how to behave. You can avoid their drama by making yourself unavailable. Eventually they might get it, but I doubt they will. Many people never mature beyond teenage years, and you will do well to avoid them at all costs. Been there, done that and skipped the company Christmas party because of it.

you're advantageous listening to much greater business enterprise than you're able to approximately an "acquaintance" heavily, your husband needs to get some balls, and only tell the dude he's not delicate listening to approximately his cheating/adventures. And if she's no longer a chum, why would she be texting you all this assistance? Dude, tell her you do no longer prefer to take heed to it... lol it is so basic as that. those are own matters, and could be pronounced between the two events, that look speaking with all people different than one yet another. it sort of looks such as you and your hubby may be able to initiate watching some cleansing soap operas or some thing to take the placement of this exhilaration =) or bypass on a date w/ one yet another... pull your existence concepts out of theirs, and have some exciting on your guy or woman existence.

You will need to be direct. Say firmly and politely, "I'm uncomfortable talking about people when they are not here." Then change the subject or say you have to go. You may have to do this several times before they get it.
Good for you for refusing to get caught up in mean, idle gossip!

Don't answer the phone. She will get tired of calling and hopefully find somebody else to listen to the gossip. If you do happen to get her phone call, cut her off in mid sentence and say I REALLY DON'T CARE to talk about her, I don't like to gossip. And if she continues tell her you have another phone call coming in and hang up on her.

There's no polite way to do it. You need to be blunt with them, otherwise they won't get the picture. Why hang up every day for a month when you can just tell them to quit it once and not have to deal with it again? Even easier if you don't allways have to deal with them afterwards.

Next time either of these women calls, just ask them, "Why are you telling me this?" It's guaranteed to put a stop to any more gossip calls. They'll sputter, but they'll get the message.

Just say, "I don't feel comfortable with this conversation" and change the subject. You may have to repeat it before she gets the message. Good Luck!
