Nope.

Actually the U.S. benefitted very much from World war two, selling amrs to the combattants. (Mostly to the allies but there were claims some people like the Kennedy's made some money selling arms tot he Germans as well.)

World War two cost the U.S. many lives but allowed it to fully arise as a full fledged superpower; it was well on its way there obviously but other powers become broke and spent in full war effort.

Some people on here jump to the gun before they even stop to think of what the United States had gone through before WWII.

Yes we did have the depression and it wasn't something that only lasted for a few years. Though it didn't heart much of the high class people as much as it did the middle class and hard working class people. The reason I know this is because my Grandfather was one of those people who had to drop out of school and get a job to help out with his family and he also served in WWII and the stories he told me of not only what happened to him and people that he grew up with but it was just something that they never wanted to relive again and to have another country to come over and destroy one of their military ships and took the lives of innocent people I guess that was just to much for them to take even though they didn't want to have anything to do with WWII they didn't want anything like that to happen again.

Sometimes it's better to talk to someone who was part of the war because they can tell you things you would never see in the movies that are based on WWII.

That's WHY the US entered into the war.
To save it's own skin.
And only 3 years too late too...
