The Democrats are trying to bring the troops home. We all realize that this war is lost. In fact, it was lost the moment US troops illegally invaded Iraq. This is not opinion, it is verifiable fact.
However, the GOP, puppets of the big oil companies, have decided that US servicemen are put to better use in Iraq as bullet and cannon fodder than at home.
So, they made damn sure that the debate was stifled.
Let's hope they can live with the deaths that are a direct result of this disgusting measure...

Nataly,
if you're going to lie, at least try and be convincing. Only Bush has cut funding to servicemen. The democrats want to keep them home instead of dying in a war that cannot be won.
See the difference now?

rhsaunder,
and what happened in Vietnam? Was the war won? Nope. lost horribly and the US had to run with it's tail tucked firmly between it's legs.
And it's going to happen in Iraq with that attitude too. At least the Democrats are being realistic about the situation and are giving the troops an out that can save a shred of dignity.
But the GOP needs the oil for their SUV's and Hummers more than servicemen's lives I guess.

They didn't vote for more death and destruction.
Theu voted for more billions in taxpayer money to be redistributed to their friends in the war contracting field.
Republicans are unawares of the consequences of spending money.

The war is over. We are now providing the role of an occupying force which means our directives must change. Our past differences and mistakes must be put aside.
Conservatives, Liberals, Moderates and Independents have one thing in common. The decisions we made or didn't make and supported or didn't support, will be judged hindsight by future generations. I want to work to make a difference for the sake of my children and our country.
Sometimes it's hard to put aside our differences when we don't agree with the courses of action previously taken. But thinking like a team means we can work towards solutions. Not everyone on the team is at the top of the game and no one will be perfect ... Which means having to try harder to make it work.
That's what's so great about being in a Democracy. We all get to choose. We all get to participate. There will always be those who don't pay their dues. It doesn't mean we stop asking for accountability. We have to stay focused on the big picture and remember that we too one day will be judged.
Sometimes even valid points get lost in all the criticism.
Venting Aside, Thinking Allowed.

I am deeply saddened by the disgusting behavior of the Democrats. The Democrats believed in going to Iraq when they voted to legally send them there. The Democrats cited all of the inelligence information they recieved from the same people who provided it to the President. To make sure he wasn't being duped, John Edwards even researched the issue by going to Clinton's Intell people who confimed it for him before
he made his vote to go. Now that our fighting men and women are there and making the sacrifice for America, the Democrats have changed their minds, now they don't support their own decision. If we leave with the job undone, they will be held responsible, again. This just proves that Democrats are weak on defense, and will always vote against America. You say that we have lost. With the fight only begining, you provide comforting words to the people who have only wished our destruction for nearly 40 years. I just hope that the Democraps can't live with the deaths that are a direct result of this disgusting measure.
The America that saved the world from facism and despotism time and time again was lost yesterday.

You KIDS are fouling YOUR linen with FEAR that you might actually have to do something other than feel ENTITLED and have mommy and daddy tell you how special you are.
Maybe you might actually want to do something and PROVE IT!
The WAR is simply beyond your comprension an so therefore you align yourself with a group that will continue coddleing you and re-affirming you unearned importance.
Look at the BIG PICTURE if you are capable and THINK!
It really has nothing to do with political parties but with a strategy to save the world.
Sure the Middle East is a gas farm, they have a different culture and have been waring among themselves for 100's of years.
So fine we become isolationist and ignore their problems; the money that we are spending on the war gets thrown at you through grants or welfare and you are HAPPY. Nicely tucked in your bed with daddy reading a bed time story that ends, "They lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER" and "You are the MOST SPECIAL PERSON on this EARTH". How cozy and nice that is.
You inherited a world with PROBLEMS so do something about it rather than whine and ***** about something that you do NOT understand or simply fail to grasp.
I seriously doubt that you have ANYTHING to actually back up your rant becauase it might actually require research on your part. Somebody in the "GROUP" told you this and it is fact in your mind so they will like you. Who is the PUPPET HERE?
The world has become an extreemly complex place and you have to learn what is going on before you flap your lip.
Think about $10 a gallon gas; you might have to ride a bike to work. Think about a nuke test and it burns a HOLE in the ozone layer; LOTS of sunscreen or you just live with skin cancer. Picture a $500 steak because all the water has evaporated and there is no money to be made with ranching or farming.
I will be well DEAD before it becomes a problem for me personally; I do worry about my two lovely granddaughters and what they will face 50 years from now. Maybe even you too; mommy and daddy will be in the dirt and it will be up to YOU, can you hack it son?
Are you actually going to figure out the problem, get an education and make a difference or just continue to BORE the rest of us into an early grave?
I see you as "ALL FLASH AND NO CASH"; just a whiney boy that would rather talk then actually do something.
Violate me if you choose; I think that I have enough points to handle the hit.
Our military people ENLIST out of PRIDE and a desire to make a DIFFERENCE. They take an OATH to give their life if necessary. They just do NOT need REMF's like you bitching!
If you are AFRAID, so be it; just do somethig with your life that makes the world a better place for the people that gave their lives supporting YOUR COUNTRY when asked so you could have the "Good Life" and maybe watch CNN every now and again.
I basically feel like you are a PUNK with no real life so you whine a lot. HAH I figure if it is going to cost me points, then I will take my FULL SHOT!
You KIDS with NO IDEA that spout "knowledge" NOT! Make me PUKE! Maybe Jane Fonda or Hillary will adopt you and continue kissing your "donkey" so you feel loved, important and most of ALL SPECIAL!
Your questions make us ALL think and react occordingly; just do NOT be a "programmed donkey" for benefit of acceptance. Just look at the whole picture before you post and see BOTH SIDES rather than being a non-thinking robot with a computer.
If you do you will be MANIPULATED because you just don't know how to recognize it.
Have a NICE EVENING,
J

Once upon a time, JFK stated that the US would bear any burden in defense of liberty. Evidently that is no longer true. Taliban and al Qaeda have made no secret of their belief in, and reliance on, the unwillingness of the US to fight a long and nasty war. The US has the choice of winning the war -- or losing it. The consequences of losing it will be catastrophic.

Democrats are defeatist. They want us to lose. If we were to actually lose, you would see terrorist attacks in our country resume at an alarming rate. By being in Iraq, we are keeping the terrorists busy over there. Why can't you libs understand that. It's called war and people die. Get over it and stand up for your country. If islamofacists win and they had control over our country, liberals would be the first ones beheaded because of their radical ways and immoral lifestyles. WAKE UP AMERICA!
