Hey guys. I'm in college right now studying to be a doctor. Theres a kid who keeps arguing with me about how many years in a century. He tells me there is 10 years but I know its 11 years in a century. Who is right?

Neither. A century is 100 years. Look it up And you're in college? Studying to be a doctor? I wouldn't tell too many people that!

10 years is a decade.
100 years is a century.

Neither of you are correct. A century is 100 years... from beginning to end.

there are 100 years. The 19th cent. consisted of 100, untill the 20th cent. Then it will be the 21st, & so on. Example. 1999 was the 19th cent, then the year 200 began the 20th cent. The 1800's were the 18th cent, so on & so on.
