I got married 1-1-2000 and we traveled all over the state of Vermont just to site see and stop in hotels with heated pools. We had a great time and if you do go north drive a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Great Cabot cheese, Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Vermont teddy bear factory, Norman Rockwell museam. Maple syrup everywhere. Great land scaps and farm land, medows and such. Dress warm and great place for taking photo's.

I'm getting married in December too, and we are going to the mountains. Cruise rates are also low that month, but we just wanted to do something different. We are going to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Tennessee, and around up in the Smokey Mountains. Renting an awesome log cabin, it has a heart shaped jacuzzi tub inside and another big one outside on the porch. Look around for what you can afford near you, and you can even get free information from travel agencies.

Rent a log cabin in the mountains.
Find a nice Bed and Breakfast somewhere.
If you want to travel and you live in the U.S., try going to Quebec City or Montrel in Canada. Or if you can go to another country, say in Europe, try England, Italy, France.

Sedona in Arizona. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. There's a lot to do and some fantastic resorts in which to stay.

ooh well theres cancun and hawaii and yucatan peninsula. theres more than just beaches there...there's a culture.
for northern things dress warm and plan it out. go find a national park or go hiking or go sighting in washington, dc.
