I'm doing a travel project on Massachusetts and I need ideas/suggestions for places to go and things to see. They can be big touristy attractions, or smaller things like restaurants or quirky art galleries. I just have to make up an interesting and fun itinerary, and price is not a concern for the project.

Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth re-creates the colonial experience with colonists and Indians.
Strubridge Village in Sturbridge re-creates the 1840s.
Fruitlands in Harvard is the Alcott existentialist experiment site.
Berkshire Mountains.
Merrimack Valley in the northeast- all the rivers that industrialists like the Lowells, and Cabots built mills in.
Castle Island and the harbour islands in Boston- now a chain of state parks. The British built forts there in the 1600s that you can still visit. There's lighthouses in the harbor too.
The Mohawk Trail- route 2 goes all the length of Mass- was originally an Indian trail that goes all the way to upstate NY.
Cambrisge- home to MIT and Harvard.
Charles River- the crew capital of Mass.
Johnny Appleseed started his train in Leominster MA.
Auburn- home to the first rocket by Robert Goddard. Space suits still made for NASA in Davis Clark Co.
Isabella Stewart Gardner museum in Fenway- she was a funky chick with lots of money who imported a Venetian palazzo and had it re-built brink by brick into her own little Italian palace that she filled with art.
Fenway Park.
Mount Auburn cemetary.
Cape Cod. Provincetown. Salem and the witch history; also has a huge shipping and Commerce history and traded with China.
Whaling industry in Nantucket, Fall River, New Bedford.
Ganstas in Southie and the Irish mob.
Gangtas in Eastie and the Italian mob.
Gangstas in Roxbury and the nouveau gangsta rappahs.
The Hatch Shell and the Boston pops- Symphony Hall and Tanglewood.
L Street Brownies.
Famous eats: Jimmy's Pier Four, Spinnaker, North End eateries, Ritz Carlton, Top o the Hub, all in Boston. Blue Ginger in Wellesley.
Coney Island Hot Dog in Worcester. Kowloon. Hilltop Steak House, Saugus.
Google them and you'll have plenty of material.
