Certainly, you both need to take precautions or you will continue to pass it back and forth.

yes- you gave her a kinda of cold. you cant get the same cold twice. theres always something dif. about it that makes the cold dif from any others before, which is why you can suffer more or less with colds. you can get a cold again because the germ can modify and turn into a different type of cold- same with the transition between her and you- you gave her a dif kind of cold than you had, the germ modified to fit her body and her immune system. if she had the same kind of cold u had before, she couldnt get it agin, so the germ modifies. you can get a cold again, because it wont be the same exact kind that she had.

Cold viruses lay dorment in your body after your body gets control of them with white blood cells, and your body heat. Outside tempuratures (cold) or other peoples cold viruses that are out of dorment stage can wake up and join up with your dorment cold viruses. Thus...you will start receiving symphoms of having a cold. What works for me is using a new over the counter cold medicine called "Airborne". It works best when you start using it soon as you get a sore throat, and it works great!!! Other people have told me that there newer over the counter called "Emergency" that works even better. Before "Airborne", I took vitamin C, Echenacia, and Zinc, which works great as well, which speeds up the virus dormenting process.

Unless it mutates within her, you will forever be immune to that particular cold virus. Once you beat it, it can't hurt you.
That is how vaccines work, though the virus is dead.

But I'd SMACK her for coughing & sneezing on my food, and so should YOU!

That is nasty. And yes you can catch the cold back from her. Just try to stay away from her as much as you can. Good luck.
