I'm a ex Nazarene and a Baptist now, praise God. We Baptist believe in the Trinity, that the Bible is literal, and the preacher actually preaches from it, we don't believe in infant baptism, we believe that once your saved, you're always saved, and baptism is by immersion only. I don't know where the one guy gets that Baptists think its ok to drink or smoke, its not only against our Baptist principals, but I feel is morally wrong. I really don't know what the Nazarene church believes, I was there 5 yrs and no one talked about it, not even the plan of salvation, sad isn't it?

I am an ex Nazarene (in as much that I am attending another church) and I can tell you that there is little difference between them. Baptists believe in "once saved always saved" Drinking and smoking are not taboo.

Nazarenes do not believe in smoking or drinking. Used to avoid movies and dancing.

Nazarenes believe in the Trinity, apostles creed, and what they call the second work of grace that is "entire sanctification"

I can tell you this, out on the Mission field they get along real nice and help each other as they should.

OH HECK STINKING YES!!! Pull up a chair!Ok. The vast majority of Baptists are Calvinists and Cessasionists while ALL Nazarenes are Arminians and some are Charismaticic. The two positions, respectively are 100% opposite one another! Literally night and day! Now Nazarenes generally AREN'Charismaticic in the sense that Pentecostals are, i.e. speaking in tongues of an unknown language; rather they believe that through the Holy Spirit you can speak in a tongue of human language that you have not learned. My honest opinion and advise: if you must go with one, go with the Nazarenes. I personally have chosen neither but if I had to pick, I would go with them. Have fun!
