Some people blush more easily than others.
Blushing is an emotional response; a sympathetic nervous system response.
Sympathetic nervous responses are dictated by our perceptions of things.
So, if someone says to me: "Your fly is open" I might blush slightly as I fix the problem.
However, your background may have taught you to be much more shy and proper than I am.
If someone tells you they can see your bra-strap through the back of your blouse, that might be just enough to make your face look like an apple.
Much of that will be determined by your own values.
There are certain disorders of the endocrine system that could be involved here, but if blushing is the only sign you have, then you are likely stuck with it for life.
The good thing is, if you are outside on a winter day and your face is freezing, just have someone tell you an embarassing story, and the flush to your face will warm you right up! It is blood rushing to the facial tissues (not like Kleenex) that causes the shift in color and warmth sensation.

No matter what you do, do not I repeat do NOT wear blush as someone already advised. I would tell you to play it cool both with your attitude around people and your makeup. Wear gentle colors on your eyes and maximize your eyelashes this way your eyes will catch people's attention. Also wear a pale lipgloss if your face turns as red as you say it does wearing a lot of makeup will make you look like a clown kind of comedic. And my best advice would be when you feel your face turning red tilt your head down a bit sort of like 'now you see me, now you don't' you're a girl so it's fine to play shy once in a while. Hope I could Help. Peace

I know exactly what your going through. It kinda sucks. Like one time in middle school these people were saying I liked this one guy but I didn't. My face was burning red and I said I don't like him and everyone was like then why are you blushing? It's so annoying sometimes but I guess guys think it's cute or atleast my old boyfriend told me that. I choose not to wear make-up so I can find a guy who likes me for what I actually look like (and so I can sleep in for the extra 10 min) :) but that's just me. When you start to feel your face burning up, just relax a little and breathe, that helps a little. You can't really do much else about it as far as I know. Good luck with it!

That's ok! You just have to OWN IT! work it. And take deep breaths and try to laugh along. Everyone has things they don't like about themselves but you just can't help it. So just be proud that you can make yourself turn red cause it's kinda cool. If someones laughing because you turned bright red just remember that there is something wrong with them too.

dr. oz was on oprah and they talked about this. i wa interested because i have the same problem. it has to do with being in uncomfortable situations, so there's not one thing that will set it off meaning you can't prevent it. it really sucks, i know. in school if a teacher would call on me i'd get beat red. but i always have really cold hands so whenever it would happe, i'd just touch my face a litle (like "oh i thought there was something in my eye" and casually touch my face) and it would help cool it down and be less red. that's all i have to offer you, good luck.

if you have a fairy skin tone this is a must... if not things will change within time... i had a couple of months or something like that by turning all red at whatever and after that the things got back to normal...
anyway, it`s pretty cute:) don`t stress too much
u could even use that for your own good... sometimes, if people see that u are embarrassed they change their attitude :D

That happens to me sometimes, usually if I get embarassed when a cute guy is around or something. And I'm 22. Just remember to relax. Practice keeping your cool. Excuse yourself and go to the bathroom for a self-pep-talk.

YOu are easily affected emotionally.
Maybe you should practice dealing with embarrasing situations, by learning to laugh at it.
I know it isnt easy at all, but maybe you can go out of your way to bring attention to yourself little by little and get used to handling it. Eventually you wont be phased by it, and you are less likely to blush.
I personally tend to be rather non-emotional, and rarely get embarrased, however when Im caught on something, and I am speechless, I get red too.

well probaly because your heart runs faster when you get embarressed and that means increased blood flow to all parts of your body including your face. this is just a guess it could be true it could not be true.
