I never really knew what breed my cat is. She's black and white.
We have acually given her the nickname of a "tuxedo cat" because she looks like a tuxedo! :)

"Tuxedo" is not a breed, but rather a coloring pattern: black and white patches. So you do indeed have a tuxedo cat. "Tabby" is also not a breed, but a pattern: fat round stripes, and there are many different colors that occur with a "tabby" pattern. "Tiger" is thin parallel stripes. "Calico" is black, orange, and white. "Dilute calico" is gray, orange and white. "Tortoiseshell" or tortie is black and orange. All of these are patterns in the fur, not breed of cat. Most garden-variety cats are either domestic shorthair or domestic longhair, depending on fur length. So if your cat is short-haired, she would be a Tuxedo domestic shorthair.

I have 2 cats like that.. one one just had kittens and 2 of them are B&W too... A groomer friend said it might be a British Shorthair, BUT Unless cats are a specific breed such as a siamese or persian, they are called domestic short hair (DSH) or domestic long hair (DLH). Some black and white cats have a marking which is called "tuxedo". Maybe that is the answer you are looking for!

Domestic short hair or Domestic Long Hair depending on how long her hair is. Just a regular cat, not a specific breed. Theres nothing wrong with that either, those purebred cats can have some pretty odd quirks!!

Sounds EXACTLY like a cross between a Bulgarian Swimming Cat and a Mesopotamian Dwarf Snow Leopard.

Just kidding, it's probably a mixed breed cat. Unless you bought it from a breeder, it is most likely not a purebred. (Which is a good thing, because many purebreds have serious health problems.)

she probally is a tuxedo. This is not a breed but a coloration. If she has short hair she is most likely a domestic short hair

Hey I am a vet and i can help you out. I am not 100% positive but your cat is a tabby with a color that probubly came from some strange gene from the parents.

Probably just a domestic tabby. Lots of black and white cats have that tux thing going on...
