Come to him with a repentant heart and ask for forgiveness. Talk to him as if your talking to your best Friend.
1 John 1: 9 says, "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. 10If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts."
God wants to forgive us. He allowed his beloved Son to die just so he could offer us pardon. When we come to Christ, he forgives all the sins we have committed or will ever commit. We don’t need to confess the sins of the past all over again, and we don’t need to fear that God will reject us if we don’t keep our slate perfectly clean. Of course we should continue to confess our sins, but not because failure to do so will make us lose our salvation. Our relationship with Christ is secure. Instead, we should confess so that we can enjoy maximum fellowship and joy with him.
True confession also involves a commitment not to continue in sin. We wouldn’t be genuinely confessing our sins to God if we planned to commit them again and just wanted temporary forgiveness. We should also pray for strength to defeat temptation the next time we face it.

First, pray and ask God to help you stay on track. Second find a good Bible teaching church and go faithfully. Get into a small group within that church like a sunday school class or prayer meeting. If you get to know people there you are more likely to stay connected. Third, start studying your Bible again. Dont worry if there are things you don't understand, just obey the things you do understand. God will take care of the rest. Make up your mind and do it. It might feel weird in the beginning, but it is totally worth it. Oh, and know that the devil is gonna fight you on it. Don't let him win. I'm praying for you!

Remember the story of the prodigal son? Well, you can be that prodigal son- return to the Lord, and when you repent you will "look down the road" and see your Heavenly Father running after you. He is waiting for your return. He will not turn you away- you are loved and He is waiting for you just to jump into His lap, repent and be His child. He is a God of many chances- He loves you!!

Remember the parable of the prodigal son,in Luke 15:11–32?
And also,Luke 15:7 :""I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance."
God will be glad to have you back.He cares about you.

.One of the best things about God. he is ALAWAYS there and never leaves you. NO matter what you have ever done or will do he will be there waiting for you. Have some alone time and just talk to him. "Ask and it shall be given unto you,
Seek and you shall find."
As you submit to Christ in all you do,
He’ll cleanse your heart and mind -
Satisfying your hungry soul each day
With manna from above,
Revealing to you His will and way,
And His unchanging love.
"Knock and it shall be opened unto you" -
God’s grace and power receive.
He’ll give you joy and life anew,
And all your fears relieve.
As you stand on firm foundation -
Christ, the solid Rock,
There’s assurance of salvation,
And blessings when you knock.
So, "Ask and it shall be given unto you,
Seek and you shall find."
His peace will, surely flood your soul,
And heal your troubled mind.
"God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him"
(Heb.11:6)

Isaiah 1:18 "Come let us reason together says the Lord.....though your sins be like scarlet they shall be white as snow, though they be like crimson they shall be as wool. We could never run too far from God's love, He is always waiting with open arms. Enjoy them. Love, be bless.

Are we in the same room?
Honestly I've heard two quotes that may help, "God meets you where you are" and "If you feel distance from God, guess who moved..."

Tell him you're sorry.
Make up your mind to do better in the future.
Get fully and actively involved in the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the church ... preferably the Catholic Church.
