This has allways been on my mind but do/can nascar team owners seek liability damages from other teams that cause the accident

Nope. Rubbin's racin. And it is not like the car owner puts THAT much money toward the car, all that cash comes from sponsors.

No they can't do that. This is cause racing will always have the risks of wrecks. Every single driver out that has caused a wreck once before. Any how the Team owners knows the risks of racing. So they can't seek the liablility damages from the other teams that cause the accidents. Racing is risky and the owners are risking there own money that the put into each of there cars.

A Racer is a independent contractor, when you sign off, end of story,the racer may have a contract (hence contractor) but there is a signed agreement before each race that agree's that we don't sue.

I am a Independent contractor building log homes, if I get hurt working your job, I have already signed prior documents stating I am responsible for insurance,health care,retirement.

Hey ask a new ? how much paper get's signed by 1 driver for 1 season. pick Stewie. No autograf's just contracts.

No they dont do that.Dale Sr. did send a bill to Jr one time.Jr. had won a race and was doing a burnout that caused the tire to blow and damage the car.Sr sent him a bill for the damage.I dont know if it was ever paid lol.

Nope.What happens there stays there.The risk is if you bring it and it gets wrecked,take it home and fix it.
