just let it burn then the smoke detector will ring and maybe cause the neighbours to phone for the fire department to come to your home. I hear some of those firefighters are hot tamales.

Take the cake out ,close the oven to retain the heat.Poke the cake in the center with a toothpick.If it comes out clean it's done.If it has a little batter on it put it back for about 10-15 mins and repeat.

I never heard an actual 'oven' ding. At least mine doesn't. Maybe you mean a timer, so in that case, by all means, take the cake or whatever is in there, out.

I would test the cake first. If you have a toothpick, then put it in the center of the cake. If it comes out clean, then yes, take the cake out. If you don't have a toothpick, then lightly touch the center of the cake. If it springs back, then it's done. If either of these don't work, leave it in another five minutes and try again. Good luck!

No that is just a basic timer. Stick a toothpick or knife in center of cake if it comes out clean cake is done. YUMMY CAKE

if the cake's done. insert a toothpick, and if it comes out clean, you're good to go. but if it just went in two minutes ago, and your buddy set the timer for two minutes just to F with you, then no, don't take it out.
