I've posted flyers, listed him as missing on the net, contacted vets/humane societies/shelters/etc, filed a police report and I don't know what else to do! If you can help, I would definately appreciate it!

He's not chipped nor was he wearing a collar due to the fact that he doesn't run away and we rescued him from being put to sleep for a "disability". I know he was stolen because he was taken out of my vehicle.

that has always worked for me....and heres the best way to do it....:(oh no!!!-well first of all take a pictures to any local walmart or wallgreens,in the photo center there should be a kadack machine
you can youse the scaner to make a bigger picture and you can cut and crop-andzoom and enhance to make the photo bring out the littlest deatials about your kittie!Heres some more idaes of how to make your sighn more noticable for passing cars{that is i f you put it up on stop sighns and lamp post}!!Ok well fist-are you offering an aword?an aword will help your kittie come home!if you live in a large city than offer around $50-if you live in a smaller naiborhood than offer aroun$20-25!on your sighn you will need the following supplies if you do it this way!
~ cunstruction paper
~pictures!
~glue
~glitter glue
~sparkles
~colerd sharpies
~foam
~water proof covering
~a cash reward
~and of course time and love!
you can get all this stuff for about $20 at walmart!now i hope your cat really is missing{and this is not just another joke....}

FIRST-lay out about ten difrent color construction papers-the color of your photo should not blen in with the colors of the construction paper for best results!put the pictures on the construction paper-leeving a good amount of room for you to write!glue the picture down and then glue around the picture!take a cup of water and ad two diffrent colors of sparkles stir it around with piant brushes-then carfully brush onto glue{which was around the picture}making a sparkly picture frame!

Next-under-or above the picture{depending where you put the picture}Write in multi. colors of sharpie "REWARD-$??"filling the "??"with however much mony-like said before!then gliter glue around or on top of the letters-so when the sun shines on the sparkles-the reward lights up and catches viewers eyes-!!

Then-write out your information with the sharpies-make sure to write your PHONE # in big bold letter so that viewers can see it with a simple glanse!you can also write your name-address and kitties name!

After that take the foam and cut out harts-stars and any other shapes that you please......put a thin layer of glitter on them and put on the corners of your paper!this too will help it stand out! When this is done your poster should look great!Put the water proof covering on the poster and you should be ready to go and put them up...!

You can make as many as you want-as many as you need,i was just saying ten to give you an estimate!it may not be too full when your done but you dont want it over crowded-the first one may not look as good as you may imangine so you can play around with diffrent ideas to make it look the way you want it-just remeber....you dont want it cramed with information so that views only see alot of letters-you want to put things so that when driving by at 25-40 mph you can some-what tell what it says!
another way to help is to color copy one of the crations and hand them out to all your naibors and friends and even post in local gas stiations!
I hope with all my heart you fined your stolen puppy! Q-Rating 11/10!!!

Do you mean that he ran away and hasn't returned, so you think he may have been stolen; or that someone took him from your yard while he was tied up or behind a fence? Do you know who stole him? Was he wearing a collar with an I.D. tag? Unfortunately, unless you have proof of someone actually stealing him, there often isn't anything you can do about it. Dogs can run a long way and if someone took him in, they might not be honest enough to look for his owner. Good luck finding him, though! I hope someone sees your flyers and does the right thing by bringing him back to you. It's just mean to steal someone's dog.

Two things. One put one of your flyer's in your car window and two keep checking with the vets/humane societies/shelters/etc at least twice a week don't count on them to call you. Sorry about your dog and good luck: Blueladybug

Delving inside the murky mind of someone who is so lost to analytical reasoning & the need for rules & authority to prevent chaos that they are willing to take upon the role of judge & jury is not a place a rational mind would want to go, or begin to fathom. How can attempting to gauge out a grain of rice, which is the size of the microchip be in the dog's best interest? Are we supposed to believe that this procedure can be done without pain & suffering? If I recovered my stolen day, I would hire the best solicitor I could find & bring the fall force of the law down on their head. In addition to a charge or theft & criminal damage, if the case warranted it, I would also want to pursue a civil claim for compensation for any treatment the dog might need. In short though I would work within the law, I would do my utmost to make the person rot in as much hell as I could manage, & whatever punishment {if any} was handed down by the court, it would in my opinion not fit the crime. Typically if a dog is stolen it will be sold on fairly promptly or the owner would be contact to extort money for its safe return. In the first instance the dog needs to be made too hot to handle but putting flyers on anything that doesn't move, in letter boxes, papers, parks ect. In the second I wouldn't risk my dog's safety, arrange for it to be returned in a public place & pay.

Did your dog have a chip implanted in him? If so, that chip id is registered to the person who adopted the dog. Contact local vets and ask them to scan any dog that meets the description. Also, notify the local humane society and any other "dog catchers" in your area to make sure the chip id information is up to date. If you haven't already, pay the fee and register the chip nationwide.

If you didn't do the chip, things will be much harder to prove.

In the future, Always spend the little bit of money and micro chip your animal. Then contact every vet, every so often to tell them you are still looking for your dog, when someone brings in a dog like yours they will scan it and notify you if they find it.

Good luck, keep your dogs close and always know where they are....for all reasons not just stealing.

Hope you find your poochie.

You already have plenty of great answers, but one more thing:
If you are absolutely certain that your dog was stolen and didn't just get lost, you might want to consider offering a higher reward that what the one who stole it is likely to get from reselling. Expensive, yes, and you may well end up paying the one who stole it, but if he really was stolen it may be the easiest way to get him back.

Good luck.

Signs are the best way and if that's not enough lie you a** off.
Post sign about it being you kids dog and that they are crying etc... Make it sound so sad that if someone knows where he is they may call and give you the inside scoop on who has him. Ride around yelling his name out the window...you just might hear him bark if he's in someones backyard.Good Luck

Well, I put flyer's in every mail box with a picture on her on it,
offered the neighborhood kids money for the one that gave me info on her and her location...little kids are really motivated by money
Did you check the local flee market, sometimes thieves take stolen pets there to sell.
Hope you can find your dog....
