Yes you are!! I was a straight A student and working part time at a deli from 12 and 1/2 years of age. I had to apply to the taxation department for a licence to work and my employer had to have a police check and pay extra insurance as I was a minor. Before I worked at the deli I used to do odd jobs around the neighbourhood for money like wash people's cars, dogs, windows etc... babysitt for the neighbours and my parents. Saying that school is a full time job is not an answer.
You should be out there getting life experiece dealing with different types of people. You should be maturing from taking on responsibilities. GET A JOB!

At the age of 16, your mind should be set on your school. You are heading toward the age in which you have to make decisions on what you are going to do after graduation.

Your mother may feel you have too much time for yourself. In that case fill your mind with some good knowledge. Go to the library or ask your mom to take you to the bookstore and buy something that's interest you.

If you like to fill your time with a job, find one in which you can always come in contact with the public. Make sure your mom approves the job first. There's nothing wrong working at your age.

Honestly, If you were my son, I would take you to the library and help you find a book on your interest. Perhaps read the book with you and discuss in details on what you had read.

Another thing you might want to do if you conscientious of what your mother said. Help her clean up the house, wash the car, cut the grass etc...

God Bless
P.S.
The Bible is an excellent choice of a book
to read.

well... I wouldn't call you lazy for not having a job at age 16, but if you just moped around the house, play video games, watch tv, etc. (nothing productive) i would consider that lazy.

If you go to school full time that is like a job you have to get up super early and are in school for 8 hours then you have homework. so i don't think you are lazy if you do all that if not then you should get a job

At 16, you are no doubt going to school. Work hard at getting your education and preparing your self for a job.

Possibly. If you are constantly borrowing money for going out, paying for gas, etc, then yes, you are lazy. If you don't do this, you're not neccessarily lazy, just doing what you need to.
